FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CHICAGO—(November 11, 2015)— Maestro Health, a leading all-in employee health and benefits company, today announced that its shopping and enrollment platform, maestroEDGE, has been selected by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) to serve as its exclusive private exchange solution for employers.
“Our maestroEDGE platform, which features innovative front and back-end technology combined with a blue chip service experience, is gaining significant traction in the market,” said Ernie Harris, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, Maestro Health. “We’re very excited to be selected by BCBSAZ to offer Arizona brokers, employers and individuals access to our all-in private exchange and benefits administration platform.”
Providing health insurance products, services or networks to more than 1.4 million customers, BCBSAZ gives consumers the option of selecting from hundreds of plan designs with 40 different attributes per design. Given the sheer volume of options and number of variables to track, monitor and administer, BCBSAZ saw an opportunity to modernize its benefits management technology to provide employer groups with greater clarity and visibility into the status of their benefits applications, billing, collection, reimbursement, and operational processes— beyond annual open enrollment.
“Finding a solution to showcase our full suite of products for our group clients was a priority. At the same time, we were focused on staying true to serving our customers with an exceptional quality service experience combined with the latest automation technology,” said Mike Tilton, Vice President of Sales, BCBSAZ. “When we saw the maestroEDGE platform this spring, we were impressed and determined it was a good fit with our vision.”
As BCBSAZ clients increasingly turn to private exchanges for year-round support versus traditional renewal functions during open enrollment, administration automation is critical. Powered by robust, back-end technology, maestroEDGE will now enable BCBSAZ groups to shop and enroll with confidence through an intuitive and personalized online user experience while alleviating the administrative burden for brokers and employers.
“Many exchange solution providers focus primarily on the front-end consumer experience, oftentimes at the expense of the back-end,” continued Harris. “While the consumer experience must be intuitive and easy-to-use, the back-end administration and functionality is equally as important and has become a key differentiator for maestroEDGE.”
