WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The Financial Operations Team Lead supports the Financial Operations team initiatives and assists the Director of Financial Operations with a wide variety of functions which include high volume transactional processing, financial reporting and analysis, accounts receivable management, process improvements and automation and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. S/He serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily oversight to ensure that the financial operations perform adequately and comply with company policies, external regulations and clients’ requirements. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Play a key role in accounts receivable and custodial management for our Self-Funded Health Plan activity

  • Lead the monthly closing process of our corporate and custodial accounts, with a strong focus on accounting and banking reconciliations

  • Review and edit accounting entries and transactions for accuracy and proper documentation

  • Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts and review those prepared by other staff members

  • Develop new reporting schedules for internal and external use

  • Continually coordinate process improvements and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls in accordance with sound accounting principles, applicable regulations and best practices

  • Actively support and contribute to process re-engineering and automation of repetitive tasks

  • Learn our business from the ground up including the responsibilities of financial operations by hands on experience

  • Support financial operations team processes and new initiatives

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience

  • CPA or CPA eligible, preferred

  • Sage Intacct experience a plus

  • Strong reporting skills within an ERP environment (creating, understanding, analyzing, automating)

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Expert Level Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced functions and formatting)

  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles

  • High standard of ethics, accuracy, precision and highly organized

  • Committed to scalable solutions and processes that enable the business to strategically grow and scale

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment

  • Collaborative spirit, team player able to identify and manage the needs of internal and external clients
