The Implementation Manager is responsible for understanding the client’s business needs and objectives and producing successful outcomes. The team is responsible for initial and ongoing system set up design, developing benefit product templates, interpretation of SPD’s and other benefit materials that describe the clients plan behavior, ongoing process information and participate with the team on the transition of accounts or projects from the implementation to the ongoing phase.     

The position requires strong leadership skills, an extensive knowledge of the benefits industry, benefit plan design elements, attention to detail, positive professional attitude and the ability to work in a team environment. You will get your hands dirty in our system and know it from beginning to end. Details about what a day or week in the life will look like here:

  • Engage with relationship manager, client/broker and sales team to understand scope of products purchased

  • Assist in the refining of discovery documents, checklists and other internal and external tools

  • Obtain and analyze product and plan structure, rates and initial data specifications

  • Manage the collection of critical client configuration details for a broad range of insurance categories and products including benefits administration, self-funded, reference-based pricing, benefit accounts and wellness.

  • Manage a busy calendar and client communication schedule

  • Consult clients on best practices and assist with system rule and date cycle definitions

  • Create and verify client configuration documentation

  • Work closely with build and audit teams to ensure accuracy of plan build

  • Work with service team to manage the implementation of requirements gathering for ongoing administration

  • Work closely with the technology team to ensure client satisfaction and improve systems features, functionality and performance

  • Identify workflow/process improvements and work with supervisor and operations team to enact change

  • Communicate clearly with external clients and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy

  • A friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines

  • Ability to learn and adapt to change

  • Healthcare related insurance experience is a must
