Senior Vice President, Sales and marketing
Joe Meyer is Maestro Health’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With over 25 years in the healthcare industry, Joe brings a wealth of market knowledge, industry relationships and self-funded expertise having served as a client-facing leader for multiple organizations. In a healthcare system that is not serving their needs, he’s passionate about delivering real solutions and true transparency for employers and the brokers that serve them.
After five years in management on the provider side with Carolinas HealthCare System (now Atrium Health), Joe moved to the payer side in 2001 as a junior sales rep with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina. He worked his way up to become the sales and client-facing leader for MedCost, Cigna and ACS Benefits, building a consistent track record of revenue growth and client satisfaction and leading teams to unprecedented results. His almost 10 years on the TPA side of the business helped to shape a keen understanding of all the moving parts of self-funded health plans and how they can best be utilized to benefit employers.
Joe has a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and, needless to say, is a Tar Heels fan. He lives in North Carolina with his wife and three children and enjoys coaching their sports teams.
